Frequently asked questions
Does Rooted Health Institute guarantee a job after graduation?
No. RHI provides career preparation resources, but employment depends on employer hiring decisions, qualifications, local market conditions, and other factors.
Can I use these resources before graduation?
Yes. Students are encouraged to begin preparing their rΓ©sumΓ©s, learning about employer requirements, and exploring opportunities while enrolled.
Will completing my program automatically qualify me for certification or licensure?
Rooted Health Institute prepares students for nationally recognized healthcare certification examinations. Completing a program does not, by itself, award certification. Students who meet the applicable eligibility requirements and pass the required examination earn their professional credential once it is officially awarded by the certifying organization.
Pharmacy Technician Program: RHI primarily prepares students for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians). Eligible students who pass the ExCPT and receive certification from NHA earn the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential.
The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) PTCE is a separate, alternative national certification examination, subject to PTCB eligibility requirements. It is not administered by NHA.
Indiana licensure: National certification and state licensure are separate. Pharmacy technician graduates seeking licensure in Indiana must apply to the Indiana Board of Pharmacy and submit the required information. Students pursuing PTCB certification must complete any documentation required by PTCB separately.
RHI provides guidance on certification and licensing steps. Requirements may differ by credential and state.
